The Still Small Voice

Have you ever heard that still small voice? That remarkable and wise, soft spoken one? The one that is meant for you and no one else? It’s the pure voice, the good one with the best intentions for the long run – not the egotistical one that will only fulfill the immediate want. It is the voice that comes from the beautiful, white light. It is the voice that is able to defeat the dark and render it powerless. It doesn’t need a dramatic entrance, but rather an open window or crack to allow its light to shine in. The still small voice is there to help you in overcoming life’s personal challenges with the perception of purity. It helps you remove all the doubts, fears, insecurities, and what ifs. It guides you and gives you extra special nudges when you need it most. It helps you when your soul feels ‘lost’ and can’t find its way.

I cannot tell you the number of people over the years that claim they cannot hear it or feel they are not capable of hearing it. Somehow some people think hearing the still small voice is associated with clairvoyants, mediums, or the like. This is not the case – we all have the capability of hearing it, but quite often we cannot because of all the ‘noise’ in our lives. Life is an immersive experience. So your ability to filter out what you need can sometimes be difficult. You really need to be ‘all in’ to hear it. And by ‘all in’ I am referring to living in the moment, being present in the moment, listening, observing, breathing in life and your environment, finding peace within your soul – taking it ‘all in’ literally.

We are all part of a very complex ecosystem and we all need to find our place. You need to learn to give in and be at peace with yourself and your surroundings. Make more time available for peaceful interactions, and less time for all of your ‘distractions’ and negative interactions that are either taking up too much time or taking away from the quality of your life. The demands and opinions from others such as coworkers, friends and family, may not always support you when you need it most. Finding calmness and purity will help you leave the airwaves open for you to hear what you really need to hear, and not what you don’t need to hear.
