The 'Box'



If you are truly unable to move past something and you know it will take a longer duration for you to overcome, you really need to put it in ‘The Box’. Put your negative thoughts in a box and save it, literally, for later. You will never be able to move forward if you cannot let go of the past. You need to lighten your load, and lighten your heart. So save all your negative thoughts, fears, and whatever else is chewing up your valuable time for a time when you are ready to deal with it and truly put it in your past, never to be seen again. Think big picture and put all the minutia in the box. Think of this box as a little gift to yourself – except you put it away so you are actually able to move forward with your life in a positive way with no limitations or impediments.


I cannot stress enough how imperative it is to self-regulate your emotions and work on this particular aspect of your life. Your outlook on life is really one of the most important things you can do for yourself – if not, the most important. Deep down everyone wants to be positive. Everyone wants to fill his or her life with happy moments and be content. Know that contentment can be found even in the smallest of things and is the result of affirmative and sustained actions.
