Gratitude

When you are bustling along with your everyday life, it is so easy to forget how rich of a life we all really live. No matter where you live in the world, your life is marked by so many different experiences, relationships, triumphs, and sorrows. All so different, yet that is why we are so rich. Humans are capable of experiencing such a wide range of emotions.

Allocating a limited amount of time to the ‘not-so-good’ emotions we experience should be part of your every day routine and writing it all down in a journal will help you to release the negative thoughts and emotions. A self-disciplined approach to negative emotions is a must if you want to break free from a negative spin cycle. Allow yourself the time you need to process any negative emotions and focus on the takeaways. Focus on answering questions such as: What did you learn? Why you are feeling the way you do? How can you move forward? Once you start releasing all your negative emotions you will make room for all the positive energies to fill this space.

Learn to focus on the positive and being grateful for all that you have. And the more you focus on gratitude, the more you will come to the self-realization that devoting time to negativity is wasteful. In the words of Willie Nelson, "When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around."
