Another path to finding stillness can be found through meditation. Meditation is the training of your mind to familiarize itself with constructive and affirmative aspects that make the mind more positive. It has so many benefits that assist directly in relaxing your mind so when you find yourself in a negative situation you will learn to maintain a positive outlook and not feel so bothered by the situation. When your mind is calm you learn to have better control of your environment. Meditation is not merely praying or ‘wishful thinking’ (in terms of wishing that lacks substance), but rather the awakening of your consciousness, the opening up of your mind, mental relaxation, and the required preparation you need in order to help you receive.
Meditation is vital and will assist you in reclaiming your life. If you are just learning how to meditate and you find yourself distracted by random thoughts, focus on your breathing and the sequence of inhaling and exhaling. Close your eyes. Breathe in, and breathe out. With each breath, imagine white light filling your soul. Envision your wish. Imagine seeing your wish as clearly as possible. If you find yourself unable to focus and envision your wish, stop looking, and connect with the Light instead and the answer will come later.
Meditation can help you ignite any lost sparks, restore your energy when it is low, and calm a distracted mind. Mindful meditation in moments of chaos can also help you break the hectic momentum forcing you to stop, regroup and breathe. It can take all those negative thoughts and neutralize them instantly whereby releasing internalized pressures. By simply filling up your soul with white light and positive thoughts, you can literally dissolve your stress.
Meditation will bring purity to your mind, body and soul in your daily life. It will also bring purity in how you perceive things and enable you to keep an open mind. It is important to note, your first few attempts at finding stillness may prove itself to be difficult, but try not to overthink the concept. Relax and make it easy for yourself. Like with all things, the more you practice, the easier it will become. Be sure to set aside time every day to find peace through meditation.
