Right now in the world as we know it, time is literally the only flow of constant we have in our lives. Time is unique to each planet, each star, and each universe. Time makes us complacent. Time is reliable. Time has the illusion of always being there and never going away. Time leaves us with the idea that there’s always another day. Our human bodies are not immortal. We are encoded for death at any given age. When death comes knocking at your door it’s not going to stop and check if you have fulfilled all your wishes, hopes and dreams. Both death and time will not wait for you. The time you have here on earth, right here, right now, is passing every second, every minute, every hour, every day. At some point on this earth, your time will run out – so make time to follow your dreams.
If you knew your life were to end tomorrow, is there anything you would regret right now? Is there anything you wish that would have happened but didn’t? Will you be leaving this earth with any wishes unfulfilled?
I believe if you follow your inner purpose and fulfill your personal potential, you will be able to accept death more peacefully knowing you lived a life with no regret. Both death and loss give life more meaning. When your days are numbered, the perception of time changes and suddenly time becomes short. Or when you lose someone close to your heart, it is at that moment when we really seem to reflect on how precious life is and how short of a time we actually have here on earth. Loss often acts as a catalyst for change. It can change everything from your lifestyle, your life choices, and your perspective.
Time is precious. It is an obvious and observable fact. Live each day as if it were your last. By doing this you will learn to take risk, take on new challenges and appreciate all that you have. The whole concept of anticipated departure will stimulate you to think differently. It will force you to actually live your life that way you want to. It will encourage you to leave no stone unturned. There is no better time than the present to live a life with no regret. Fulfilling your wishes will make your life automatically become more meaningful. And as you begin to live with this outlook, you will not fear death, as you know you have lived your life the way it was meant to be.
