"Who runs the world? Girls" - according to Beyoncé, Barack Obama, Oprah & Clean Beauty Forum ;)
Since leaving the White House, the 44th President Barack Obama and the former First Lady Michelle Obama have been on tour for the Obama Foundation Leaders: Asia-Pacific Program speaking to change-makers and up-and-coming youth leaders and we absolutely love the message they are sending.
At a private event on leadership in Singapore this week former President @barackobama said, “I'm absolutely confident that for two years, if every nation on earth was run by women, you would see a significant improvement across the board on just about everything." According to BBC News, the former President also said that while he was in office, he actually thought about what it would look like for our world to be run by women. Obama further said that he believes a lot of the world's problems are a result of "usually old men, not getting out of the way" adding "I'm absolutely confident that for two years, if every nation on Earth was run by women, you would see a significant improvement across the board on just about everything ... living standards and outcomes."
How refreshing is his message? Imagine if more world leaders took the same approach? As far as we have come with women's equality with men, we still have a long way to go but we are definitely headed in the right direction. Ladies, you heard it ... the world needs more female leaders and we hope this message inspires you.
And Barack .. can we just say we love you!!!
